Ted H. Hanson

Rick Shew who is helping on this web site as well as reunion activities,  thought it would be a good idea if we asked for input on who might be interested in participating in a Golf outing for our 40th reunion.

 * Options are to Golf on the next day (Sat) after the reunion festivities. That would be Aug.27th (Sat).

 * Another idea that was presented was to Golf in the South High Alumni Assoc. golf tournament that is going to be held the Saturday before on Aug.20th. This is open to all South High Alum. and all proceeds go to raising funds for the Alumni Association scholarship fund and scribe etc.

* Let's use the Message Forum on the web site to communicate all this information. I think that will work fine.

Give us your input so we can plan accordingly.

*Make sure you all join the web site. Even if you can't make the reunion, this is a good way to find out how everyone is doing.

Later,

Ted Hanson

We've created a "survey" called "Class Reunion Golf" on the left-hand menu. Please use it. More information to follow.

Get out the good table cloths and silverware Howie. We're on our way. : )

Stephen,

I can offer a large conference room mid valley for your planning session if you'd like, but only available between 8am and 5pm weekdays.

Jon Faldmo and I used to use the South High dark room almost daily taking photos for school publications. Well Jon just kept clicking. He's been a professional photographer for 40 years now. He and I can do photos for the reunion and print them on beautiful glossy cards with personal shots on the front and a group shot spread across the inside. (Jon doesn't know it yet, but he'll be there... lol ...if I have to grab him by the ear and bring him!) No charge to our Cubs, my treat.

Let me know how else I can help out!

~Dave

Dave

The class of 70 for thier reunion put the photos on a DVD along with some music we use to listen to way back when. Lol

A friend of mine sent me a copy of the dvd it has class photos, photos of classmates we have lost through the years and along with photos from thier reunion.  If you want I can put you and Jon in touch with Jeff. Maybe we can talk him into making a dvd for everyone even those who can not make it to the reuion.

Rondi, no guarantees on how good we'll look at this age. I scare the crap out of myself when I get to the bathroom mirror in the morning when I realize the kid I think I am is actually inside this old dude's body. LOL But Jon's an awesome photographer, anything from commercial to portrait. Any cubs out there do hollywood style make up and special effects?

Deborah, sounds good. Although I actually have the software to make such a movie as well, I'd love to let him do that for us, busy as my sched is.

OK Gang... all this being said, WHEN'S THE REUNION? When are the planning sessions? Let's Rock n Roll!

Now I like Howard's post of holding the reunion in Washington since it's only hop skip and jump from Portland.

Whoever decides on date and place Please let us know as soon as you can. Then we can make travel plans to make back home to ol Salt Lake.

It's been really great to catch up on everyone on the board and find out what we all have been up to. Since leaving utah in 72 I have been out of touch with friends from South.

We had our initial "official" reunion meeting tonight. David, we would love it if you and Jon would be willing to photograph us! I'll contact you directly shortly to confirm. For those of you following this message forum, we have decided upon Friday, August 26th, for a reception at Phillips Gallery, located at 444 East 200 South in Salt Lake City, from 6:00 to 10:00 PM. We are planning an alumni golf tournament as well. Further information will be posted on this website (you'll also see an announcement in your South High Scribe coming in July) as it becomes available. Ultimately, this website will be the best source of information for the latest and greatest details. Hope to see you there.

The Class of '71 Reunion Committee (the names have been withheld to protect the innocent)!

To everyone working to make this reunion a reality:  Thank you!!!

Is there any chance that we can shift this event to Saturday instead of Friday night?  It would help the working out-of-towners to fulfill work obligations and still be able to get to SLC for the reunion.

Thanks again, for all your efforts!

For us poor cubs who won't be able to make it this year.

We'll have to plan for 45th reunion.
