Loving Husband & Father
Our beloved son, husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend passed away unexpectedly on June 24th, 2008 at the age of 55. Tom was born in Salt Lake City on March 5th, 1953 to Vernon Thomas and Ruth E. Cracroft. He married Patricia Hille on November 30th, 1972 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Together they raised six children.

Tom was a very kind, generous and loving person, always willing to serve others at anytime. He was a faithful member of his church and enjoyed many callings; especially working with the youth and nursery children. He donated numerous hours coaching his children and others in soccer. Tom enjoyed spending time with his family camping, fishing, hunting, watching movies, playing games, and working in his garden and yard. He was known for his infectious laughter and teasing which will be greatly missed.

Tom is survived by his wife Pat; children Jenifer and grandson Sawyer, Justin and Jessica, grandson Sevin, Trisha and Mike, Ashley and Brent, Jordan, Taylor and Adam, mother Ruth; Aunt Pearl, sisters Nita Call (Dennis), Linda Arbon (Wes); and numerous nieces and nephews. Tom was preceded in death by his father Vernon and brother John.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 28th at the Bluffdale Stake Center 2700 W. 14400 So. at 11am. A viewing will be held Friday June 27th from 6-8 p.m. at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 So. Redwood Road and one hour (9:45-10:45 a.m.) prior to the funeral service. Interment at Redwood Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers please honor Tom by considering to become a living organ donor, donating blood or platelets. Contributions may also be made to the Kidney Foundation at http://www.kidney.org/support/donate.cfm.

His family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to all those who worked so hard to save his life.

Tom and Pat were so wonderful when Randy died.  They helped me out so many times and were always there for me.

It was so unexepcted when Tom passed away - I hated to see Pat go through what I had already been through.  I miss Tom; he has such a wonderful family and a sweet, beautiful wife.  I am so glad that Pat and I are friends.

It's hard to express how sad the day was when I learned of Tom's passing.  Pat and I had such fun in our neighborhood and it was a happy day when she married Tom, the love of her life.

Time may pass us by but it's the friends that will sustain us.  Pat - you are in my thoughts.

Love,

Denise

Tom Cracroft... friend from Kindergarten through High School. The South High flashbacks that come when I see each alum name is touching. The saddest part are that so many have already left us. Tom, we'll always remember and love you my friend. ~Dave

I was truly saddened when I heard of Tom's passing.  He was one of the kindest and most genuine people that I have ever known.  I am very grateful to have known him and also very humbled by the example that he set for rest of us, on how to live life with enthusiasm and with grace.
