Kathleen Fitzgerald passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 28, 2016. Kathleen was born to Reid and Joyce Fitzgerald on May 13, 1955 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Kathleen was a kind, generous, Christ-like person. She was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, and friend and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Kathleen graduated from Westminster College and Brigham Young University as a Registered Nurse. She worked at St. Mark's Hospital as an RN for many years and then worked in administration with the State of Utah, the home health industry, and the University of Utah.
Kathleen loved being with her family and had many happy memories of camping and picnicking with aunts, uncles, and cousins. If anyone said road trip, Kathleen was there. She also loved taking others to many wonderful destinations. Party time was Kathleen's specialty. Her impeccable preparation made every party an occasion to remember.
Kathleen's Niece and Nephews were the light of her life. Memories they cherish are birthday dates, special holiday packages, Christmas outfits, cruises, world famous brownies, and caramel bars.
Kathleen is survived by her mother Joyce, her brother and sister-in-law Garff and Marianne; her nephew McKinley with wife Janelle and son Knox; her nephew Kyle; her niece Kelsey with husband Danny and daughter Ava; and her nephew Nathan with wife Maddi.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cottonwood Heights 4th Ward, 2522 East 6710 South. A viewing will be Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 S. State Street, and Saturday at the church from 10:00-10:45 a.m. Interment: Murray City Cemetery.
