 Courtney R. Green 1955 ~ 2005 Our beloved son and father, Courtney Rex Green died January 21, 2005 of institul pulmonary fibrosis, a sad waste of a beautiful man. He fought this terrible disease, but in the end it broke him. He leaves behind his parents, Mark and Lafern Green; daughter, Jessica; and husband, Shane Goddard; grandchildren, Trista, Jaydin, and Brittany; ex-wife, Linda, who loved him; and brothers, Brent (Vicki), Monty (Cheryl), Kim, and Jeffery (Lisa). Courtney was born July 23, 1955. He was always a happy child and very protective of his mother. He was a long haul truck driver and traveled to every state in the union, a job he loved until his illness forced him to quit. It is with great sadness and broken hearts that we bid him goodbye and hope to see him in the next life whole and strong. The family wishes to thank the doctors and staff at CareSource for their tender loving care of our son and father. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 25, 2005, 12 noon at Cottonwood 4th Ward, 2522 E. 6710 S. Friends may call Monday, January 24, from 6-8 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 S. State St. and Tuesday one hour prior to services at the church. Interment, Mountain View Memorial Estates.
