Jack Johnson

Jack Johnson

Jack Robert Johnson 1957 ~ 2010 Jack Robert Johnson, 53, was suddenly taken from all who love him on August 16, 2010. His generous and genuine heart couldn't give any more. Born in Salt Lake City, April 11, 1957 to Robert Dale and Carol Johnson. He graduated from Brighton High School in 1975. He joined the Army and did a three year tour in Kaiserslautern, Germany, where he met the love of his life, soul mate and best friend, Erika. Together, they had one beautiful daughter, Melissa. Not everyone is lucky enough to have a Jack R. Johnson in their family. Spontaneous, hilarious, full of daring, and to hear him tell it, the R stands for rough, rowdy, and ready. Jack loved a life of visits to the cabin, NASCAR, dirt bike riding, and above all else, his family and friends. Jack had a long career in public service, working for Murray City, and most recently, the Veteran's Administration Hospital. He was happiest pursuing his hobbies including mechanics, skiing, and riding his bike. Jack loved well, lived big, and will be immensely missed. He is preceded in death by his father Dale. He is survived by his mother Carol, wife Erika, daughter Melissa Adams (Zachary), two wonderful granddaughters, Elisabeth and Abigail, sister Jill Krauss (Marion), and brother Jeff Johnson (Dana). A celebration of his life will take place on Saturday, August 21.
