CARLO MILTON PERKINS 

Spanish Fork, UT        Carlo Milton Perkins, age 86, died on June 1, 2015 in Spanish Fork, Utah. He was born on October 2, 1928, in St. Johns, Arizona, to Milton Lloyd Perkins and Ida Margaret Johnson. He grew up in Ephraim, Payson and Cottonwood, Utah He loved playing the trombone in the marching band at the  
U of U and Utah State. He served a mission for the LDS church in the Texas/Mexico mission, and learned to love the Spanish language, people and culture. Carlo married Connie Lou Warren On March 5, 1952 in the Salt Lake Temple. He received his Bachelor's Degree at Utah State and his Master's Degree at the U of U. He taught school in Salt Lake and Granite School Districts. He taught Driver's Education for 32 years before his retirement in 1993. He loved to sing, and participated with the Beehive Statesmen Barbershop Chorus for   30 plus years, as a member of the chorus, and various comedy quartets. His Harmony Hijinx Quartet won numerous awards during the 20 years they sang together. He was an active member of the LDS Church, leading choirs and serving in leadership positions. He also served at the Jordan River Temple as an ordinance worker. He and his wife Connie served a mission to Madrid Spain. He is survived by his brother Leeman Perkins, New Jersey and Sister Karen Perkins-Sears Holladay and his children Scott (Paula) Payson, Cheryl , Payson, Rick (Wendi) St. George, Kelly, Salt Lake City. 12 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Connie, and son Curtis. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the LDS Church's Perpetual Education Fund would be appreciated. A viewing will be held Sunday evening, June 7th from 6 to 8 P.M., at the Holladay~Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 S. Highland Drive. Funeral Services will be held Monday, June 8th at 11:00 A.M. with a viewing to be held an hour prior, at the Cottonwood 5th Ward, 5913 S. Highland Dr. Interment at Holladay Memorial Park 4900 Memory Lane, Holladay.
