Chris lived in SLC for 4 or 5 years after high school.  He and Sally had their first son Corbin during his college days at U of U.  And they lived in the upsairs of the family home on H Street.  We all were good pals with some of the old high school friends.  Golf and poker and chess and rock'n roll.  And still managed to graduate from college.

Chris and Sally and I all left for Eugene, Oregon together in 1970.  They became house parents of a half-way house for run away kids.  Eventually took over the management and lived at the house for a year, which was pretty intense.  We made some amazing friends there many we still know and cherish. Lots of fun in those days in a lifestyle that was way outside the norm.  Meeting people like Ken Kesey and his bus family.

Chris, Sally and Corbin then moved on to Salem and lived there ever since.  They had another son Dillon, also a fantastic man now, and both boys have great families of their own.  Chris's house was alway party central and he had most holidays on the calender to be there or be square.  Great fun guy, as all of you know who knew him back in the day.  Chris was a saleman most of his life and did well at it.

By then I had moved to Port Townsend and Mercer Island Washington, but we stayed in touch and we tried to get to the party central whenever possible.  Grateful Dead Concerts, trips to the coast and always good stories.  Chris loved nothing better than being with his family, especially his brother Rich, who still lives in SLC, friends, golf and Rock n Roll.

His last days were spent with a lung disease know as idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.  No known cure.  That was a bummer.  But luckily he had his family close by and lots of friends and good music.  Unfortunately golf was only on TV.
