Very sorry, about Steve's passing. He was a wonderful, talented, artist. He died; too young. We both attended Bonneville,Clayton, and East together.
We had Engish together in Mr Iversons class. Not a picnic; He was a great teacher; But very difficult. I know he rests in peace.Cindy Atack White.
Jim Campbell
Steve and I were friends for a year or so, not as sophomores and not really as seniors. I was pretty geeky, introverted, bookish, and not at all athletic. Steve made me feel popular. I remember when his father bought a blue Chevrolet Impala Super Sport and we thought we were pretty cool. I smoked my first cigarette, Marlboro reds, with him during our junior year. It felt so daring. (I didn't smoke my second until the late 70's. Haha). Thank you Steve. I spoke with him many years later and he told me his mother used to say to him "Why can't you be a nice young man like that Jim Campbell?" If she's only known the truth......
