Diane Poulton

Diane Taylor, 74, passed away on November 16, 2022. She struggled with multiple health problems and was cared for with steadfast patience and love by her husband of 54 years, Douglas Taylor.

Diane was born on December 18, 1947; the eldest child of Daryl Poulton and Gloria Lawrence Poulton in Salt Lake City, Utah. She graduated from East High School in 1966.

Diane met Douglas Taylor in 1967 and they were married on December 15th of that year. One year later Douglas was drafted into the army and was sent to Vietnam. It was after he was released from the military that they started building a family and Diane would eventually give birth to three children.

Diane enjoyed a career in healthcare administration. She was the administrator of Heritage Place in Bountiful for over 20 years and managed multiple facilities across northern Utah.

Diane was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in various church callings throughout her life. She loved serving the members of the Bountiful 39th ward and did so for nearly 50 years.

Diane had many hobbies. She was a talented seamstress and painted beautiful ceramics. She loved to knit, play piano, plant flowers, decorate, and cook. She enjoyed hosting parties; and nothing brought her more pleasure than putting together the perfect celebration and then enjoying the time with her family and friends.

Diane was preceded in death by both of her parents and her eldest son, Matthew. She is survived by her husband, Douglas; daughter, Jenny Taylor Hallisey; son, Gregory Berry Taylor; and nine grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Ronald L. Poulton, sister Leslee Poulton, and sister Patrice Warner.
