Paul Boyce ** (Alebra Teacher)

Paul C Boyce

Mr. Boyce was born February 1, 1904 and died at peacefully at home at the age of 89 on sept 18, 1993.

His High School teaching career began in 1926 and spanned 44 years. He taught at both Jordon and East High Schools. He was devoted and loyal to his students and encouraged them to succeed and become high achievers in their endeavor to receive a good education. He taught algebra, geometry, and botany. He was vitally interested in High School sports and worked closely with various coaches at the games.

He graduated from Utah State University and was a member of Pi Kappa Phi. He was an avid horseman and enjoyed his association with the Ute riding club for 22 years where he served as president. He announced rodeo and state fairs in Western Montana for many years. He was past president of the Sandy Lions Club. He also served as president of the vocational teachers of the State of Utah.

He was a member of the LDS Church and is survived by his wife Hazel, seven children, 35 grandchildren, 80 great grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
