Troy L. Salie 1966 ~ 2009 With great sorrow we announce the passing of Troy Leonard Salie on September 16th, 2009.Born November 8, 1966 in California, he spent his childhood in Washington, California and Utah. Troy graduated in 1985 from East High School in Salt Lake City and attended the University of Utah. Fulfilling life experiences included the completion of a two year LDS mission to Japan where he made many friends. In 1986 he had the privilege of working as an intern in the United States Congress. Troy is survived by his beloved daughter Madison, ex-wife Lisa Lowder, mother Catherine Yee (John), father Tom Salie, brother Matt Salie (Rebecca), nephew Quinten Salie, niece Vivan Salie and grandfather Leonard Salie. He was the adored nephew of Karen Armbruster (Owen), Diane Heslington (Don), Michael Crowley (Georgia) and Lorraine Fox, along with many beloved cousins. Troy joins his beloved grandmother Jean Crowley and best friend Pat Reuland in heaven. All had a positive and enduring influence on his life. He also leaves his much loved girlfriend Adriane Warr and her sons Tristan and Cayias Michie, along with many dear friends who helped enrich his life. Troy was a devoted father. With Lisa, they worked together to lovingly raise their beautiful daughter Madi. Troy was intelligent, well read, and an exceptionally engaging conversationalist. His ability to command a room with his quick wit and unique sense of humor will be truly missed. -
