John Michael Henson (Bah-Bah)
September 24, 1953 – November 17, 2013

John was born to Carol Spratling and John Noble Henson. He had one sister, Wendy, and lived for many years on Iris Lane in Salt Lake City, UT.

He started playing little league football with a special group of friends and continued to play with them at Granite High School. He graduated from Granite High School, he was a talented and gifted athlete, excelling on the football field. Their record was 32-1-1. They all went on to play at BYU following graduation in 1972. He was a very gifted athlete. He played softball and was the "homerun hitter," but his passion was football. John coached the junior's team in the Granite Football Conference for many years. He couldn't watch enough of his favorite teams which were the STEELERS, Dodgers, Red Wings, USC, LSU, and Texas. Hook ‘em horns!

He worked for Delta Airlines for 24 years as a Supervisor and made many close and wonderful friends. His most recent employer was Herriman City Parks & Rec.

Bah-bah was a perfectionist especially when it came to his Explorer, Christmas lights, even though the boys always had to put them up, and yard work. He enjoyed giving the grandkids rides on the lawnmower, and watching them play sports.

Some of his dreams included owning a red and white ‘57 "Vette" and living on Henson St. in Australia.

John married Tracy Leavitt in May 1977 (divorced in 2012) and had four AWESOME kids: Linsey, Jaime, Trevor, and Tyler. He also loved spending time with his four grandkids: Colby, Indy, Sammy, and Dia. In November, 2012 he married Terri Jackson.

Survived by Terri Jackson Henson, Tracy Henson, Linsey, Jaime (Randy) Roberts, Trevor, Tyler, and Billy. Grandchildren Colby, Indy, Sammy (Roberts), and Lydia (Henson). Sister Wendy (Chad) Nelson, and many extended family members who all loved him dearly and will sincerely miss him.

Preceded in death by his parents, "Nana" and "Papa."
