He graduated from Granite High School and the University of Utah. He served a mission in Alaska where he met his wife Debbie. Kevin had a deep love for his family and friends. He is survived by his mother, Dixie; children, Roxanne, Jennifer (Trent) Eckman, Thatcher, Chancellor; two granddaughters, Kylie and Hadley; brothers, Jerry, Mickey, Danny; sister, Robin, and many Aunts, Uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his father Thomas R. Olson.
