Our dear son, father, grandfather and brother, Cloyd Reeves Stevens of Magna, passed away suddenly at the age of 46 due to a heart attack.
He was born Jan. 15, 1954 in Provo, Utah to Lloyd Jay and Joyce Reeves Stevens. Cloyd lived a good life and returned to his hea-venly home on Fri-day, Nov. 10, 2000.
Cloyd graduated from Granite High School and attended the University of Utah.
He was a master builder of LDS Churches, luxury homes, schools and public buildings. He enjoyed teaching and sharing his talents with others. Working with his hands and doing leather crafts brought him peace. He loved camping and sports activities with his children. He was a member to the LDS Church and was an Eagle Scout. Cloyd gave of his time and talents to those around him unselfishly, never expecting anything in return. On Sept. 14, 1974 he married Renae Shorter. They were later divorced; their union brought into the world five children who were the light of his life.
Surviving are children: Zackery Jay (Sandra) Stevens, Heather Stevens, Cory Brian (Stephanie) Stevens, Michelle Stevens and Chaz Jay Stevens; two granddaughters, Aliyah and Aspen; parents, Lloyd J. and Joyce R. Stevens; four sisters, Renee (Philip) Murphy, Reeva Stevens, Rachelle (Kevin) Larsen, and Rolana (Steven) Owen; seven nephews and three nieces.
