Jane Meyerhoffer (Rice)

Jane Ann Meyerhoffer Rice                         1949 - 2022

Born March 29, 1949 to Hal and Margaret Meyerhoffer, Jane Ann Rice was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

In 1967 she graduated from Highland High School, and married Charles Seaman. They had 2 beautiful daughters spent two years in Japan and then later divorced. Jane met and married the love of her life Daniel Rice, Jr. in 1976. They had one son, Ryin.

Jane was an avid runner for 25 years. She ran many 5k and 10k races including completing the St. George Marathon. She loved being outside in the sun and mountains. She and Danny loved taking their Tipi camping with their family and friends. Both of them also went on many motorcycle trips with their Harley group. Her fondest memory was of their Yellowstone trip. Jane also went on many girl trips with her best friend Cheryl that she cherished.

Jane’s grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life. She enjoyed when they would visit and talk to her about their day.

In the last two years she looked forward to Tuesday nights where her godson Oly and his wife Molly and their children would gather with her for dinner, drinks, and laughs.

Jane was surrounded by family that have loved, supported, and cherished her in her final days.

Proceeded in death by her parents Hal and Margaret Meyerhoffer, husband Daniel, son Ryin, son-in-law Mondell Haley, and lifelong friend Charles Seaman.

Survived by daughter Trudi Haley; grandchildren Casey (Kyra), Brianna (Tyler), Torrey (Shaley), Seth, Grace and Miranda; great-grandchildren Eli, Bradyn and Brighton. Daughter T. Boswell.

Special Thanks to Trudi and Kyra for being her 24-hour caregivers the last year and a half. To Shaley for her support in Jane’s last 2 days and finally to Valeo Home Health & Hospice for the support and care in her final days.

Per Jane’s request no viewing or funeral services will be taking place. Family and close family friends will hold a celebration of life in the Spring.

Sad to see her passing.  I remember her from childhood, we both grew up on 1500 block of Hollywood Ave. She lived across the street and a coupld of houses down from ours.  We would play together as kids and went all the way from Garfield, to Clayton, to Highland together.
