Dean Parsons 1947 ~ 2011 Our wonderful free-spirit is set freeDean had knee surgery on Tuesday, and then had undetermined complications which resulted in his death. He died, sober for years, surrounded by those he loved.Dean was born March 29, 1947 to "Snips" and Frances Parsons. He was proud to have attended Highland High School where he met many of his life-long friends in the north parking lot. He spent most of his life working for the railroad as an engineer. Dean loved life and his many friends. He was a loyal, loving man, active in AA and with a passion for hunting, racing and watching t.v. Big Papa loved every one of his grandchildren: Brady Sillman, Zachary Parsons, Blair Sillman, Lexi VanLith, Bobby Parsons, Alvin Reed, Frances and Ruben Reed, Brooklyn Barker, Izzy Parsons, and baby Emma Parsons due in June. Dean is preceded in death by his parents Floyd "Snips" and Frances Parsons and his brother (in-law) "Uncle" Ed Krause. He is survived by his wife JW Love-Parsons, and his children "#1" Naydean (Rex) Reed, "#2" Nick Parsons, "#3" Maddie (Bruce) Barker, "#4" Tony (Susan) Parsons. He also gathered other children along the way Tony and Kimm Sillman, Gavin Anderson and Nicole Reed. A visitation will be held Wednesday, May 25, 2011 from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary 3401 Highland Drive, Salt Lake City. We will celebrate the life of Dean Parsons on Saturday, June 4, 2011 from 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. in the yard of the Madeleine Choir School 205 First Avenue, Salt Lake City. We Love you Dean, Dad, Big Papa!!!

i remember dean so well. and yes he did spend a lot of time in the north parking lot. i use to park my car in the north parking lot. I am not really sure where i met dean. but i thought he was really nice and sincere. maybe he didnt run with the in crowd etc, but what is more important is how one treats others. dean was not a phony person. he was geniune. he was extremely kind to everyone. just think if i had never parked my car in the north parking lot, i would never known dean as i did..
