to show all how small the world truly is, we were selling our house in Texas during the worst time. we had people coming to look. then one day this couple shows up. somehow we got talking about being from utah. the lady asked me where i had gone to hs. I told her highland and graduated in 1966. she then told me her aunt had gone to highland too and graduted the same year. she told me her name and it was carl jo craft. we talked alot about her. It was truly sad about her death. but as we talked, her niece said she was the best aunt ever. i kind of teared up. i knew Carol, and always found her to be quite amusing. She was really nice.  I saw her at the 20th. I didnt recognize her...but you know, she was truly happy. and i can say is this, We live and we die and hopefully are remembered.... But more importmant is that we live our lives to the fullest and enjoy every moment we have.

I will always remember how Carol Jo won the Mrs. Brown You Have A Lovely Daughter contest when Herman's Hermits came to town.  She won a date with the lead singer, Peter Noone, of Herman's Hermits.  We were all so envious.   I remember her as being so petite, vivacious and attractive.

Carol Jo and I got to know each other in several classes throughout our Highland days.  Our senior year we sat by each other in one class and had such a good time.  She was a good friend and she enjoyed life to the fullest.    We promised each other a "date" during the summer, but life took us different places.  I will truly miss having the chance to see her again!

I had lots of classes with Carol Jo.... Her handle was CJOC (a radio station) She was the life of the party. I remember at one of the Class reunions she came as a "Stripper" brought a Cutie as her boyfriend and was passing out Business Cards. I think her dad taught Drivers Ed. She will be missed.

What a cutie.  Carol Jo reminded me of the flying nun.  What went on in her life to lead to such an early death I wonder, especially for such a popular and talented person.  I thought the former reunion outfit and profession was a typical Carol Jo prank.  So sorry Carol Jo.  We all loved you.
