Married John in 1971 in Palm Springs, California, had our first son there then moved back to Salt Lake in 1973. Purchased our second home, had three more sons & then moved to Sandy. My working years included helping with elementary age children & later on with special needs young adults at Murray High School...all very fulfilling. After my Mom passed away I retired to care for my Dad who we had live with us for over 12 years in a basement apartment...Since 2017 we live in our youngest son Roger & DIL Hilary's basement apartment in Sandy...we sold our home in S.J after John was given the diagnosis of being legally blind. He had open heart surgery after suffering a heart attack 15 yrs ago + hasn't been able to drive for 19 years because of his eyesight, he was diagnosed in 1984 with RP.
We have traveled quite a lot to England, Scotland several times....cruises all over, family vacations. Our eldest son Robert is married to his husband Glen, Rick is married to Laura & our youngest son is Roger is married to Hilary...they have our two wonderful grandchildren Zander (16) & Olivia (13). Zander says "I'm his legend Nana" at Alta High School...Saturdays are spent going to his football games & cheering on his Alta Hawks. Olivia is part mermaid & competitive swimming is her thing....so it's off to meets for her. Our 3rd son Ron passed away from suicide in 1997 @ 21...that continues to be the most heartbreaking event our lives. You take what life gives you & roll with it ! I'm grateful to still have my hubby & we'll be celebrating 50 years of marriage in January 2021
