Sad news, for sure. Talented as a student and popular class officer. Surprisingly athletic for a skinney dude. Remember him fondly. Condolences to family, etc.
My memories of Boyd begin in seventh grade when I met this happy kid popular with girls. When the school newspaper came out with a gossip column item about Boyd and his girlfriends, he could not have been happier. The last time I saw Boyd was at the 50th reunion. He looked quite different from his high school days as many of us do. But that smile was still there. May your memory be for a blessing Boyd.
Boyd was a great teammate and friend. He was a terrific running back, and also a threat to return any kick all the way. RIP, you will be missed by many.
Here is the Boyd I grew to love. Although, we only knew of each other in high school, it wasn't until later in life that we became close friends. . He was one of the kindest, most sincere, crustiest friends one could ever hope to have. There are very many acquaintances, students and friends that are going to miss his unwavering and sincere friendship and guidance. (Photo by Steve Midgley)
I was so sad to learn of Boyd's passing. I had tender feelings for my good friend Boyd while in high school. He was fun to talk to and so charismatic. A kind soul as well. I used to love watching him wrestle in the bowels of the school (if my memory serves me well anyway). I appreciate his influence in my life as a teen. Just sorry I didn't know him better as an adult.

I first met him in Little League football. Truly a talented person. I hope he died happy.

My summer mornings were spent watching the Rams practice football. Boyd was a good quarterback.
My condolences to his family.
