Michael Jarvis

Michael "Mike" Warren Jarvis (74) died at home in Riverdale, Utah on Friday, April 12, 2024.
Mike graduated from Highland High School ('68) and earned a B.S. in Mass Communication from the University of Utah ('74).
He married his first love, Brenda Jean England, on March 5, 1970, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They are the proud parents of three children. They divorced after thirty years of marriage. He later married his best friend, Ruth "Ruthie" Elizabeth Poole Simmons Jarvis on January 3, 2012. They enjoyed each other's company for 8 years.
Mike was a first generation college student. He loved books and learning. He instilled these values in his children. He was always generous when he had the means.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents Arnold & Jennive Clark Dransfield and Spencer & Blanch McMullin Jarvis, his parents Warren S. & Genevive D. Jarvis and his wife Ruth E. Poole Simmons Jarvis.
Mike is survived by his first wife, Brenda (Allmond), their three children Jamie, Gina (Nick) Marcell and Jason (Rachel) Jarvis, four grandsons, and two younger brothers Dean (Ginny) and Norman Jarvis.

Ernie Colaizzi

Michael, Michael, Michael, you wil be sooo missed!  Glad I was able to meet up Michael @ our 50th Anniv.  Some of my best (and stupidest memories from that time) included Michael and his brother Dean.  I know family and friends must be greiving.  Until next time, rest well my friend.  Ernie Colaizzi

So sorry and suprised to hear of Mike's passing.  I'll always remember the good times we had in high school and what a good friend he was....though I do regret that we drifted apart after school, I will always be indebted to him for introducing me to my wife of 55 years.  Happy trails you old stick-in-the-mud.  Allan M
