Once a RAM, always a RAM. RIP Bret James Archuletta. You will be missed.
Bret James Archuletta was the firstborn child of Jimmie Earl Archuletta and Susan Annette Borg Archuletta. He was born on February 27, 1962 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He left behind all his trials and struggles that he suffered in his life to happily join his grandparents on July 18, 2021.
He had a fun time growing up in the best neighborhood on earth. He has kept in touch with his childhood friends. He loved playing sports. He played basketball, hockey and when playing baseball he was known as the “vacuum cleaner”. He was so proud of his dad who coached his basketball team. He loved hunting, (especially bow hunting), camping, U of U (Go Utes!!), Notre Dame, Chris Ledoux, watching football, his dog BB, the Jazz, crossword puzzles, sour cream on mashed potatoes and doing Charles Wysocki puzzles with his mother. He graduated from Highland High School, class of 1980. He was an Eagle Scout and one of his proudest achievements was graduating from the Salt Lake Community College Law Enforcement Academy and serving as a Salt Lake County Sheriff Deputy.
Surviving are his parents: 2 brothers, Brooke (Lori), Bountiful, Utah, Brandon (Holly), Layton, Utah, sister, Kimberly Fulkerson, Chatham, Illinois and two daughters, Heidi and Rio. Also surviving are many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
We wish to thank the staff in the ICU at St. Mark's Hospital for their excellent and attentive care to Bret.
We will be hosting an open house in his honor at his childhood home on Saturday August 14, 2021 from 6:00 to 8:00 in the evening..jpg)
