Allyson Jensen (Egbert)

Dec. 12, 1961 - Oct. 3, 2012
Douglas James Kahley, 50, was tragically taken from his loved ones on Wednesday. He was born in Murray, Utah, where he grew up with his siblings, Vance Jr., Dee and Sharon. As a young man he dedicated his time to long distance swimming at Highland High School, where he met his High School Sweetheart and love of his life, Janilyn.
After graduation, Doug and Jan married in 1981. A few years later they were blessed with the birth of their beautiful daughter, Lacey Nicole Kahley, in 1983. In 1987, Doug moved his family to Vallejo, CA., where he successfully started his company, Doug Kahley Construction, Inc. Filled with gratitude at the success of his company, Doug spent a lot of his time giving back to his community and to those less fortunate.
Some of Doug's favorite hobbies include golfing, boating, fishing and spending memorable time with his dear friends and family.
He is preceded in death by his father, Vance; mother, Shirley; his brothers, Vance Jr., and Dee.
Doug is survived by his devoted wife, Janilyn; loving daughter, Lacey; sister, Sharon (Dr. Ed Cardiff); mother-in-law, Onlee Boswell; brother-in-law, Brady Boswell; sister-in-law, Corey Boswell; four nephews; four nieces; 11 great-nephews; five great nieces; two great-great nephews, and three great-great nieces.
Doug will always be remembered as a true man filled with honesty, pride and more love than one person could know. He always offered his heart towards friendship believing that there was good in everyone he met. Doug was one of the few that would actually stop what he was doing to smell each flower he could. His humor, kindness, love and wisdom will live on forever through the memories of his loved ones.
Douglas James Kahly, you are forever loved and will forever be missed. You made your mark on this earth that will be seen with each sunset, every wave of the ocean, and each flower that blooms. Thank you for sharing your heart with all of us. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Rebuilding Together Solano Chapter, rebuildingtogethersolanocounty.org/ and Colitis Crohn's Foundation, ncal@ccfa.org. Arrangements by Skyview Memorial Lawn, Vallejo, CA.
