1962 ~ 2004 Brit passed away peacefully in his sleep on July 7, 2004. He was born and raised in Salt Lake City. Brit was a student at the American School in Switzerland, graduated from Highland High School, and attended Fordham University and the University of Utah. He loved building and contracting small jobs and especially working with his father on construction and remodeling projects at Ruth's Diner and the Santa Fe Restaurant. Some of his best times were Christmases spent with family in Montana, snow skiing, water skiing and time spent pursuing his lifelong commitment to body building. He was also an avid reader. Although he struggled most of his adult life with addiction, he nevertheless displayed great generosity, compassion and a sense of humor to those around him. We will particularly miss Brit's easy laugh. He is survived by his father Curtis K. Oberhansly and step-mother Dianne, his mother Carol Lindsay, sister Katie Gonzalez (Tony) and brother Zachary Brugger. Brit especially loved and was loved by his aunt and uncle Lynne and Jay Montague and cousins Chris, Andy and Jason of Billings, Montana. The family would like to thank the many friends and professionals who assisted Brit on his difficult journey, especially Mike Ray. Our consolation is that Brit has finally found peace. At his request, there will be no funeral. Please take a moment to remember him in your own way.
