Julie Hansen, our beloved wife, mother, sister, daughter, and friend passed away January 27, 2000 at home with her family at her side. She led a courageous battle against cancer and fought for every day that heaven would allow. She was 37 years old and will be deeply missed. Julie was born August 24, 1962 in Salt Lake City. She married her best friend, Jeff Hansen, September 11, 1980. Together they raised their three children, Lindsay, Jeffrey and Lauryn.Julie's greatest joy in life was her children. She was very proud of all of them and loved each one with all of her heart. She said that leaving them behind was her greatest sorrow. She loved gardenias, Eagles tunes, and Tahoe sunsets. Julie is survived by her husband; three children; parents, Howard and Lynda Logsdon, Terry Pantelakis; grandmothers, Janet Heyn, and Helen Daskalas; sisters, Susan (Bob) Jordan, Lisa (Mike) Vardakis; brother, John Logsdon; nieces and nephews, Nicholas, Michael, Maria, Stephen, and Melissa.  The family would like to express its thanks for the outpouring of support, kindness, and countless meals provided by our friends and neighbors. A special note of thanks to Dr. Stephen Lordon, Susan Basta, and Nurse Rosemary of the University of Utah Pain Clinic who worked tirelessly to help Julie endure the pain and pick up the pieces after the others finished with their practicing. It was Julie's wish to have a small, private graveside service that was held Saturday, January 29. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to a college fund for her children at Washington Mutual Bank, 201 South Main Street #180, Salt Lake City, Utah, 84111. "We Love You, Julie."
