Richard "Rick" L Moss Jr.

APRIL 8, 1954 – NOVEMBER 21, 2020

Richard (Rick) L. Moss Jr, 66 of Bettendorf, Iowa passed away at his home on Saturday November 21, 2020.

Richard was born on April 8, 1954 to Richard and Loretta Moss in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He was united in marriage to Carmen Archeletta on February 22, 1972; they had a daughter together and later divorced. Richard later married Linda Colette on June 18, 1994; they also divorced. Richard grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah and attended Skyline High School. In 1972 he moved to Davenport, Iowa and worked for the Times Democrat for a few years before moving to Burlington, Iowa where he became employed at RM Distributing and later became owner after returning back to the Quad cities where he made his final home.

Richard loved watching NASCAR, football, golfing and listening to music and was also an avid car collector. He greatly enjoyed traveling and spending time with his daughter Candice and her husband Matt.

Those left to honor his memory are his daughter Candice (Matthew) Allen and his brothers: Steven Moss and Dave (Gretchen) Nesmith. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Dennis Moss.

Per his request there will be no services at this time and cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of life will be at a later date.
