Lincoln Marshal Dastrup 1953 ~ 2011

Lincoln Marshal Dastrup - a devoted husband, a loving father, a tender grandfather, a caring son, brother and uncle, a faithful member of the LDS Church, a loyal friend, and a man of integrity and vision. What more can be said of the man who blessed the lives of countless people.Lincoln was born October 5, 1953 in the small town of Susanville, California to the proud parents of Shirlee Olsen Dastrup and the late Rue Dastrup. Being the youngest of three, Lincoln proved to be a pillar of strength for his two older sisters, Sherrie and Lindsay, whom he both loved and served dearly. At an early age, Lincoln moved to Utah and developed a fondness and deep appreciation for the outdoors. Even in his later years, one could find Lincoln riding horses on the ranch, four wheeling across the sand dunes, flying airplanes, relaxing in the waters of Lake Powell, camping and hunting in the nearby mountains, and enjoying a simple conversation with family and close friends over a campfire. But above all, his greatest enjoyment in life came from his family. Indeed, they brought him an unspeakable amount of joy and were the root of his happiness. He was married to Linda Lee Harmon, his beautiful sweetheart of 33 years. Together they raised five remarkable children: Jarom, Chalet, Aaron, Dallas, and Haley. Lincoln also excelled in the title of "Grandpa Linc"; a title he cherished being called by his 11 precious grandchildren. Lincoln passed away June 1, 2011. For those that knew him, they became inspired by his contagious smile, genuine personality, and unconquerable spirit. For those that love him, they await the day to be with him again.
