I am saddened as well to here of John's passing, it s been a long long time but we were pretty good friends and i remmeber him flying like an eagle over that bar when he was pole vaulting clear back then in Junior High. It was unreal how high he was able to go back then. For me trying to high jump was like watching an elephant jump. We did have good times back then.
