School Story:
A music store was having a grand opening so Rob, Matt and I decided to go. We ended up buying some kazoos and I bought myself a ridiculous amount of drumsticks. On the way back home, we all ended up playing our kazoos to a Metallica song, which was pretty funny at the time. After that, i busted out some drumsticks and started playing on the back of Matt's driver side seat. He finally got annoyed(which was kinda my goal), angrily parked the car and said 'do you want me to take you home or not?!?' Sorry Matt! ha
Another one, just a funny memory...I dont know how I got sucked into it, but I ended up doing a play by the name of 'Its a Wonderful Life.' I wanna say Robert Holguin somehow volunteered me for that. I really only liked going to the auditorium to play on the piano but the drama teacher assigned me a part...well a couple of little parts. Both were silly, mind you. The first one was a drunk guy singing Christmas carols incorrectly. For the second character, I was playing one of the kids of the main character...only problem was I was taller than both my 'dad' and 'mom'. I remember hearing the whole auditorium laughing when i stood up and said 'daddy' and 'mommy'.
Last one, although i have quite a few. Call me a band nerd but those were the best times of high school for me. The football games were the best, and the parades, even though HOT, were always what I looked forward to the most at the end of the year. I always attended the band Christmas parties and I remember one time, we got our letterman jackets on the same day of the Christmas party in the cafeteria. Before heading to the party, Robert Molina, Matthew Mireles, Jason Casanova, Andrew Alavarez, and myself had put on our jackets and walked out in slow motion like we were all in a gang. It felt like we were the T-Birds from Grease...but in purple jackets. I even think Jason wanted to bust out into song too. To say the least, we really felt empowered wearing our jackets for the first time.
