Neil Marshall Dunn Jr., 47, of Keller died peacefully on Friday, Feb. 5, 2016, after a 27-month battle with brain cancer. Service: 3 p.m. Saturday, March 5, at Lucas Funeral Home, 137 E. Hill St., Keller. Marshall was born in Durham, N.C., in October of 1968. He graduated from Churchill High School in San Antonio in 1986 and received a BA in English literature from Baylor University in Waco in 1990. Marshall was married to Kelly Ryon Dunn in July of 1995 in Dallas. Together they joyfully welcomed their daughter, Margaret "Meg" Ryon Dunn, in June of 1997 and their son, James Garrett Dunn, in March of 2001. In addition to being an amazing husband and father, Marshall enjoyed learning and teaching those around him, especially his children. Marshall was intelligent beyond measure, hilariously funny, artistically talented, usually off-color, and always kind. Marshall was predeceased by his brother, Samuel Chester Dunn II; his paternal grandparents, Samuel Chester and Elizabeth Henabray Dunn; his maternal grandparents, Ray Garrett Jr. and Virginia Hale Garrett; and his stepmother, Maureen Anderson Dunn. Survivors: Marshall is survived by his father, Neil Dunn and wife, Marcy; his mother, Susan Garrett Dunn; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ken and Maureen Ryon; his brother and sister-in-law, Darren and Kim Dayley; his nephews, Cameron, Collin, Zachary and Josh Dayley; and many other friends and family members who hold him dear in their hearts.
