In Memory

Rosemary Young (Thompson)

Rosemary entered the Ft Sam ER on the 8th of April with some breathing problems. A CT scan showed some small clots in her lungs that were not necessarily threatening, but there was also a small mass found in her left breast. Her mammogram, done last October, was clear.

This and her complaining of a lot of pain when lying on her side for the CT caused the doctors to order MRIs, which found a large mass on her right side.

A little over two weeks later, the biopsy report was aggressive lymphoma with involvement in the lymph nodes. Mild treatment was ruled out as the tumor was too aggressive. Total treatment would result in death as well.

Before plans could even be finalized for moving her to hospice, she was gone.

I thank God that all her kids and grandkids got to visit with her before her passing. She recognized and called each by their name.

ADDED:

Rosemary's Celebration of Life was a testament to just how many lives she touched and how many she called friend.

For those who could not attend, Rosemary's grandson-in-law put together a beautiful tribute to her life. Many of you will find yourself somewhere in the video.

In Memory of Rosemary Elaine Thomson. If you haven't already left a memory, please consider doing so. Each one means a lot to the family.
