A traditional holiday weekend is all you guys could come up with really? why not Homecoming weekend with the school which is in October.... I know you are doing your best but what about people with families and those who don't live in the area.

To all of those that feel the same way about this. 

The Reunion Committee had a lot of discussion about the date and the venue. Since we all came into this very late in the year, we knew that it would be harder to pull together a quality reunion in the month of September. Also we were taking into consideration, families that would be traveling from out-of-state. 

The thought process was that if families are going to be in San Antonio during the holidays, with family, then it may be a good time, as well, to take advantage of this.

Further more, many of the venues that we were considering, were already unavailable for the months of September and October.

I am sorry if this puts a strain on your plans for the holidays. We really do hope that you and your family will join us in San Antonio for this once every 10 year event!

I guess my only concern is that it's literally right after Thanksgiving (people who live in San Antonio, that have family outside the city would most likely be leaving San Antonio, not staying). Due to the short coming of coordinating the event for our reunion in impetuosity fashion is an inconvenience. This was really the only weekend available for the venue for the month of November? Someone could have done their diligence with the decision making but than again it was determined late in the year. This date is to close to the Holiday where we are suppose to spend our time with family in a “home setting”. But this is just my opinion. Not sure if I will be attending (its up in the air) but I hope it turns out well for the rest. It would have been a joy to see some of my classmates again. See you in another 10 years
