Jeff Damon was unexpectedly taken to be "in his Father's House" on January 13, 2017 at the age of 53.
Raised in an Army family, Jeff was born in Aldershot, England on Sept. 26, 1963, the youngest of six children. Jeff's family settled in San Antonio in 1978 where he graduated from Roosevelt H.S. Jeff had a long career at Gallagher's Steak House in Texas before he returned to school and became a graduate of the UTHSCSA class of 1999 where he received his B.S. in Respiratory Therapy.
After graduation, Jeff gained valuable experience in clinical work and was soon recruited by Boehringer-Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals to work with physicians in San Antonio hospitals. After many productive and enjoyable years with B.I., Jeff had recently joined Lupin Pharmaceuticals.
Focused on a life of service to Christ, Jeff was an amazing husband and father, a devoted son, an devoted brother to his biological family and his brothers and sisters in Christ and a faithful member of University UMC. In his spare time, Jeff was a connoisseur of the finest breakfast establishments in S.A., notably Jim's and Cracker Barrel.
Jeff is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Amy, and their two sons, Adam and Nick, as well as his mother, Flora Damon, his sister Nanette Gordon and her husband John; their brothers: Michael and his wife Son, Chris, Steve and his wife Susan, and Casey, numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and many, many friends.
Jeff's memorial service will be on Monday, 23 January 2017 at 2:00pm with a reception to follow at University United Methodist Church, 5084 De Zavala Rd, San Antonio.
In lieu of flowers, Jeff's family asks donations to be sent to The Magdalena House @ maghouse.org, The American Heart Association , or The Wounded Warriors Project.
