Nina and I have been friends since we met, she was very unique, really kind, a beautiful smile, a cute, tall girl that was shy like me and had the most beautiful handwriting. After I left school, I found out that her family moved to Corpus Christi and Nina was hospitalized with mono and died, it was about 1979, 1980 or so, she would've been between 17-19 years old. One of our favorite teachers was Mrs. Lane her class was CVAE-ODP & her husband was the principal of MacArthur high school at the same time she was teaching us at Roosevelt high, funny the things you remember.
