Ricky was a sweet, sweet guy and a wonderful musician. I was in band with him, and he was such an excellent flute player. I was so sorry to learn of his loss. Blessings to all of his family members.

I knew Ricky as far back as 6th Grade at Colonies North E.S.  He impressed me with his wit and intelligence. I remember that he loved Science. When we were learning about light refraction, Ricky brought some of his collection of prisms. My funniest memory of him was when Mr. Schuback commented that he needed a better paddle to use for discipllining students. Rick and his father spent the weekend, making a new one, complete with drilled holes to make it swing better because the air passed through it, and writing that was burned onto it, then shellacked. He had named  it "The Board of Education."  It was a real art piece and Mr. Schuback was very impressed.

I first met Rick in Chemistry class with Mr. Bondurant.  We were in the same lab group table, as well as Carol Milsaps.  I don't think I would have made it through chemistry without Rick's help.  He was so patient, kind and helpful with us.  One day he was talking about his other brother Tom that was a year behind him.  I didn't know who he was til Carol pointed him out to me one day on the way to class.  Little did I know then that I would marry his brother Tom in 1979 with Rick playing the flute in my wedding.  Dear Rick....may you rest in peace.  Love, Peggy
