Jack Preston Lindsay, 59, of New Bern, died Sunday, Sept. 25, 2005, at Craven Regional Medical Center.
He worked as an electrical engineer in the television and telecommunications fields. He retired in 1999 from the Pentagon, and moved from the Washington area to New Bern in 2000. He was a 32nd degree Mason and Scottish Rite Shriner in San Antonio, Texas, and enjoyed bowling and trap shooting.
He is survived by his widow, Shirley, of the home; one daughter, Sheri Lyn Mantei; one son, Jack Pahl Lindsay; one stepson, Clay A. Wells of Gainesville, Fla.; two sisters, Yvonne Jaynes and Penny Lindsay; and four grandchildren.
