
McREYNOLDS, Sandra J., 57, died unexpectedly on September 6, 2004. Born in San Antonio, Texas, she moved to Tampa with her children in 1980. A businesswoman, she was co-owner of Evergreen Properties, a building design company, and was a licenced real estate appraiser. She was a member of Congregation Schaarai Zedek and a longtime docent and volunteer at Lowry Park Zoo. Sandy always looked for ways to preserve and beautify historic Tampa. Survivors include her mother, Hermina Davidson of San Antonio, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Phil and Deah McReynolds; grandson, Justin of Temple Terrace; daughter, Hillary Lynne of San Luis Obispo, Calif.; sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Vick Leventhal; nieces, Nicole and Ashley of Alamo, Calif.; and her life partner, Jim Lauer.

I remember Sandy from home room. Every day of the school year she came in with some comment that made us laugh. She had a sharp wit and her unique comebacks always had a different point of view from my own. She was a fun person to know.
