David Smalley (Barr)

I have so many memories of Bob.  I first met him in 1956 when he would exit the North East Juniior High School bus one street over from where he lived, bcause that was where his dog was to lead him back to the street where he lived on Donella Dr.  Bob was one of two best buds I had in school, the other one was Tommy Moench.  As a group or individualy, we shard many experiences from 56 through to 63 and 64.   Bob's mother was a nurse and his father was a liquor distributor, which contributed to some  delinquent drinking affairs behind a chicken coop where I lived.  Tommy father was a Colonel at Lackland AFB, I think,  Tom has a sister, Beverly, who I dated briefly.  I very sad the day I heard that Bob has passed away, and I will see his burial site when I visit San Antonio again.  As Tom reminded me, we are getting up in age, and that is when the Obit colunms become more important to us.  God bless us all.
