Eugene "Geno" A. Barnachea, III died April 5, 1999 in Mountain View. A native of Santa Clara, he was 33.

Mr. Barnachea was an Eagle Scout, a member of the Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity, and served in the United States Army for nine years. He was a Gulf War veteran and served in the Marine Reserves for four years.

He was predeceased by his son, Adam. He is survived by his wife, Christy Barnachea; children, Alicia; parents, Gene and Gerri Barnachea of Los Altos; sibling, Eric Barnachea; nephews, Ryan and Kyle; and numerous relatives and friends.
