Sorry to hear about Laurie's passing. We both went to St. Therese's as well as Mission, though Laurie did not attend St. Therese's for all 8 years. I remember her fondly.
Laurie was in my homeroom classes and I always remember how sweet she was and always with a smile on her face. I was sorry to hear of her passing. Praying for her family and friends and their loss.
I, too. remember Laurie from St. Therese, particularly our First Communion. Laurie was a very special person, as was recognized by her classmates. Laurie's mother would bring her to class every so often and all of us would be so excited to see Laurie and include her in our activities as much as was possible. Laurie was a young victim of polio--so rampant during that era before Salk vaccine. And, as Ann observed, no matter all her surgeries, etc., Laurie never failed to have a bright personality and smile for everyone. Very, very sad to learn of her passing--prayers and thoughts are with her family . . .

Laurie was a lovely person. Glad she became a teacher and passed it on to her students. She will be missed by many. Mary Ellen (O'Neill)Moody
