Steven Roper

6 years US Navy, settled on the east coast working for NSA.
Relocated to California when my folks needed help.
We own a small farm in Humboldt county, with a plant nursery.
I married my high school sweetheart (Castro Valley High) and our youngest graduated from Humboldt State(Noe Cal Poly Humboldt) in Environmental Engineering. My eldest (James) is a contractor, my middle child(Rhiannon) is now a 3rd grade teacher in Arkansas.
I had an IT consulting business for several years, but gave it up to work here at the local community college.
Retired June of 2019. Formed the new LLC on June 11th, 2019. I was a Partner in a small firm, FJ Sturner & Associates. I was the CFO and Program Manager. Closed the LLC down in 2021. Officially retired. I work for my wife in her Nursery. My commute is about 150 feet. I play in the dirt all day and feed our cows on our small 7 acre farm. Loving life, the most blessed of men!

Greatly enjoyed Track as a soph. I miss many of my buddies, Leonard Foote, Gary Dutrow, Darryl Sale.
Ms Holland was the most influential teacher I had. I cannot believe how much she taught me, all of my kids have benefited from it as well.
