Many of you may have noticed a fabulous picture of Denny Umphreys and Susan Brinkman Cavanaugh just posted on Denny's profile today, Memorial Day 2009.  I sent an e-mail to Denny and received the following which is reprinted with permission from Denny and Sue:

Sue's confession to Denny of her long time high school crush on him during our 20 year reunion led to another 20 years of wondering what we might have missed. Sue thought often of Denny as he did of her. Denny looked never gave up trying to find Sue but alas she seemed to have become invisible. Then the Fates stepped in... By chance a wayward letter about the reunion reached the very difficult to find Sue. She debated about sending her long lost crush an email - what would he think - but in the end decided to just do it. As luck would have it, Denny just happened to be in Marin when she hit the send key, called Sue and they reconnected at a mini-reunion for Denny's birthday in Terra Linda. It was love at first sight and it just gets better every day. We have a history, old feelings and a happily ever after future.
