Ann Pfeiffer Franklyn

Oh my, hard to summarize almost 40 yrs.

I spent 18 years in Alaska, living most of that in Wasilla. Though I did live above the Arctic Circle for over a year driving an ambulance & fighting fires. I went back to school in 1991 & graduated from Univ. of Alaska, Anchorage with a BA in Psych.

Divorced my only husband; Rex -the-Ex when my kids were 8 & 9. So was a single Mom living in a cabin in the woods. I loved it. Left AK in 1998, tried CA again but couldn't stand the heat so now I'm living in WA.

Most of my career I worked in Human Services; child protection, mental health, addiction, & domestic violence.
My full time job title now is Grannie Annie the Nannie. Its a great gig, taking care of my Grandkids.

West Side Story, Music Man & Anne of a Thousand Days. I don't think I would have graduated without Sally Rupp & Kee Higday.

I remember David Slinney telling me if I showed up for Driver's Ed tripping 1 more time he'd turn me in.

I remember getting busted in the Fillmore District on the way to see Van Morrison with Greg Burnadini & Chris Beck-can't remember who else was there.

Smoking at the gate. Lots of drugs, booze & rock 'n roll.

And how shocked I was when my picture ended up on the cover of the Oracle in my senior year. I didn't figure anyone ever saw me.
