Moved to Sacramento for college. Worked for the Air Force where I met my husband. Married 12/1983. Moved the following May to Alaska where we lived for 15 years. Both girls were born in Anchorage, Alaska. After my father passed away in 1996, I felt I needed to be closer to my mom so we sold our house and moved back to California. We spent two years in Southern California then moved to Visalia, California. My mother had a stroke in 2010 so we moved back to Terra Linda. Mom passed away in 2011 and I inherited the house.
In 2019 we sold our home in Marin, bought a truck and 5th wheel and drove up to Oregon. Traveled up and down the coast till we settled here in Bandon and bought our new home. I worked locally until the beginning of 2024 when I had a heart attack and broke my back which forced me to quit working. Now we fish and go crabbing often. Hubby works at Bandon Crossings Golf Course and plays as often as the Oregon weather allows.
Also in 2019 as we were traveling, I found my birth family (I was adopted at birth) and once we were settled I flew first to Chicago to meet my birth mother (she passed away last week), younger sister, and half brother. Then I flew to Florida to meet my half sister. I also reunited with my best friend from high school after losing touch for 40+ years.
The last few years have been a wild ride!
