Donnie Harris, Sr. was born September 22, 1964.  He was a member of the Washington County High School Class of '82.  After graduation, Donnie joined the United States Army and served twenty years until retirement.  Upon his retirement, Donnie became employed with the Wrightsville Youth Development Center in Wrightsville, GA., later transferring to the Sandersville Regional Youth Development Center.  Donnie was married to Gwendolyn Lamar and to that union two children were conceived.

Donnie leaves his memories to be cherished by his wife Gwen and their children Donnie, Jr., and Hannah Harris.  Donnie was called from this earthly dwelling on January 12, 2008.
