I remained good friends with Bob through High School until his passing. Professionally, he became well known as a respected consultant for nonprofit organizations and politicians in North Carolina. I went to his memorial service, which was attended by many notable people in the Raleigh, NC area. He was universally acknowledged for being a bit quirky and having incredible knowledge of politics and government. His base of friends and collaborators was loyal and admiring. Bob and I had many fun times together over the years and spent countless hours consuming good beer while solving the world’s problems. His passing is very sad for me. Rick Hartlein
