Garry and I were in a couple of classes together at Guy Webb Elementary, and I remember that he and his sister Jenny were always the smartest students in the class.  As kids, we would go swimming together at his community pool and finish the day at his home.  His parents were super people and always me feel at home.  One thing I'll always appreciate is the summer part-time job he got me when I turned 16 as a bag boy at the Big Apple across from the Igloo skating rink.  We would always jockey to get the patrons that were the big tippers, but he seemed to always do better than most because he knew the customers the best.

After North Springs, I lost track of Garry, but I will always fondly remember our early years together.
