I'm so sorry to hear about Shirlee. Last time I saw her was at MainPlace Mall about 10 years ago. She was in a wheelchair and had had one leg amputated at the knee. She was diabetic. She was shopping with her daughter, a beautiful, sweet young lady.
As I walked through the mall, Shirlee was sitting outside a store while her daughter was inside shopping. We were both shocked to recognize each other. I sat and visited with her for a while. Funny thing was that as were sitting there was a small earthquake. We both looked around stunned as the shoppers ran for cover. I didn't know where to go or what to do with poor Shirlee as she wanted to know her daughter felt it too. We both sat there staring at each other in shock until it passed. She had the same kind spirit she had in high school inspite of her health issues.
