DOENIKA BRIDGIT LILIENTHAL Age 40, of Santa Fe passed away on March 2, 2011. She was a caring and wonderful daughter and sister who will be missed dearly by her family and friends. She was a talented artist, poet, and musician who touched the lives of many with her music and kind heart. Doenika strove only to see the good in others. She showed unconditional love for people and animals, especially dogs. She had a magical way of making others feel wonderful. A big heart, warm heart, good heart, open heart. All those whom she knew she loved and we thank you for loving her. She had recently decided to focus on what she loved most: Music. "Since the day I was born I was and am music. My passion, my soul, and my first love." She was about to release two CDs. One was a pop rock CD and the other was "meditation" music which she called "music that vibrates." The family would like to thank her friends for their heartfelt outpouring of love and support. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers Seferino Joseph Trujillo and James Richard Lilienthal, and her uncle Ronald Trujillo. She is survived by her parents, Chip and Jeanette Lilienthal of Santa Fe; Grandmothers Geneva Trujillo and Betty Lilienthal; Brother Jason Lilienthal; Sister Katy Clopper and brother-in-law Kevin Clopper; Nephew Benjamin Clopper; Niece Aubrey Clopper; Her aunts Lois Davis, Joyce Langston, Meg Lilienthal, Annie Wiard, and Uncle Richard Lilienthal; and many other relatives and lifelong friends. I met Doenika back at Alameda Junior High School. It's been long enough that I feel I can share. We never super close, but we did like and respect each other from a young age. Doenika was one of my first crushes. She had a charisma that just got to you and burned like a flame. You simply wanted to be around her... only later did I learn that she was an actual fire-dancer of sorts. Whenever she was present, each of our lives were better and brighter. She was just so cool. I remeber Doenika as someone people wanted to be close to. She was loved and admired. You will always have a special place among the stars. Rest in peace.
