I first met Sef in 7th grade at Alameda Junior High.  I didn't know him....just knew of him.  We continued on to SFHS and I had an Algebra class with him in 9th grade....still didn't know him well.  Then in 10th grade we both got jobs at Wendy's and that's when our friendship grew really strong.  We were always hanging out at work and partying after into the wee hours of the morning.  He was so proud of his cars that he would race in highschool.  A group of us from Wendy's would always be hanging out together.  I remember a day in the summer of 1985, Sef and my boyfriend Dave (now husband) dropped me off at my house at about 0600 in the morning after up all night partying and that was the day my mom kicked me out of my house.  Sef was there for me to help me out.  I got an apartment with 2 other friends and Sef would come and cook dinner with us and give me rides to/from work.  He was great friends with me & Dave and they had so much in common with music, cars, etc.  I lost touch with him after highschool and then met up with him when his kids were little....then lost touch again, and was so happy to see him at the 20 yr reunion picnic.  Since then, we had stayed in touch by phone and visits when I would go down.  He will truly be missed, including his huge smile, funny laugh, and sick sense of humor that I loved so much.  Bye Sef........until we meet again.

I met Sef back at Alameda Junior High. We were never all that close, but I remember Seferino as someone who loved life. He was always friendly, and man-o-man... he was super-cool. He had style, he had looks and he was always smiling and happy. I remember teachers used to just say his name over and over during roll call, "Sef-e-rino... Sef-e-rino"... and say what a cool name he had. People liked and admired him and wanted to be around him. You will be remembered, Sef. Rest in peace.
