Vincent Ben Martinez
VINCENT BEN MARTINEZ Age 39, went to be with our Lord on February 8th. He is survived by his parents, Norberto and Gloria Martinez; sisters: Lenora Schmidt (Bill), Sarah Austin (Kevin), Felicia Valencia (Ron); 11 nieces and nephews; seven great nieces and nephews. A Visitation will be held Sunday, February 14, 2010, 5:00 p.m. followed by a Rosary, 7:00 p.m. at McGee Memorial Chapel. Mass will be celebrated Monday, February 15, 2010, 10:00 a.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church. A private burial will be held at a later date. Serving as pallbearers will be: Ronnie Valencia Jr., Joshua Valencia, Kevin Austin Jr., D.J. Vince was my friend. He used to hang out with myself and Luke Oakland. It has been long enough since his passing that I can share. We would all meet up and smoke herb before, inbetween and after classes! Vince was a fun person to be around, and quick with a joke... we always would laugh our asses off! He was strong yet kind. He never judged me any of his friends. We all had a great time when we got together. He lived out on West Alameda street... my old stomping grounds. We would lift weights together from time to time. Vince, you are missed. You were loved, and you will always be remembered. Rest in peace, old buddy.
